Voice actor & cast list – Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
Below is a full list of the major cast and cast members who provided English voice overs for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Many of these actors are responsible for a role, but some express more than one character.
“Star-Lord” Peter Quill – Jon McLaren
Who is Star-Lord? He’s just the biggest self-proclaimed outlaw in the galaxy. If you don’t believe it, he will tell you himself. McLaren is best known for playing a few minor roles on television, making cameos on shows like DC’s Titans. He also lent his voice as an extra for Far Cry 5.
Gamora – Kimberly-Sue Murray
Murray is known for some lesser-known TV series, such as Shadowhunters, V-Wars, and The Lizzie Borden Chronicles. Fun fact, she also starred in the same episode of Titans as Jon McLaren and now the two are reunited as the “Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy” Gamora and Star-Lord, respectively.
Rocket – Alex Weiner
It takes a particularly surly voice to bring the cantankerous Rocket to life. Weiner has only been active for about a decade, having worked on shows like Blue Mountain State and ClydeCynic. He is also recognized in the gaming world for his voice work for Far Cry 5, Deux Ex: Mankind Divided and Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate.
Drax the Destroyer – Jason Cavalier
The Katathian warrior known as Drax the Destroyer needed a truly gruff voice to bring out his thirst for action. Cavalier has played a role, making cameos on shows like Titans and Quantico. However, he is also equally recognized for his work as a stuntman, having acted as a stuntman in films like the X-Men series. His stunt work has spread to the gaming world as well, having worked as a stunt coordinator in games like Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, and For Honor.
Groot – Robert Montcalm
Playing Groot means having to say the “I”, “am” and “Groot” and also being able to deliver them with reach. Montcalm is one of the only players on this cast list whose previous credits are mostly from the video game space. He recently played Yagak and August on another Square Enix hit: Outriders. His most recent credits also include Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and For Honor. Montcalm also provides the voice of Kammy the Llama and one of the voices of Worldmind.
Mantis – Emmanuelle Lussier-Martinez
MCU fans will be familiar with Mantis from the movie’s sequel, but she plays a pretty big part in that story as well. Lussier-Martinez’s most important role is Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, where she plays Teresa.
Officer Ko-Rel – Judith Baribeau
Guardians will pass through the Nova Corps at different points in the story, and players will see Officer Ko-Rel a lot. Baribeau is a Canadian actress who has been on a handful of Canadian shows, including Trauma, 30 Vies and District 31, as well as the original Netflix 21 Thunder.
Nikki Gold – Romane Denis
Nova Corps cadet Nikki Gold also plays an important role in this story. She is played by Denis, who has appeared in a few Canadian television shows, such as True North and Nomades.
Grand Unifier Razor – Andreas Apergis
As the head of the Universal Church of Truth, Raker is one of the main villains in the game. He previously played Krone in Riddick in 2013, but has also lent his voice to the Assassin’s Creed, For Honor and Tom series. Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
Adam Warlock – Brent Skagford
This comic book fan favorite was teased by the Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Twitter counted a few weeks ago, but its role in the story is shrouded in mystery. He is voiced by Skagford, who in addition to occasionally playing a role on television, previously voiced Napoleon Bonaparte in Assassin’s Creed: Unity.
