Louis-Philippe Montour back on familiar ground at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

The wait is over for Louis-Philippe Montour who will be back on track in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, driving his #13 Kamloops | GL electric-automation car prepared by Dumoulin Concours.

The Blainville native will race the 3.9 kilometer track located 40 minutes from Toronto for the first time in a NASCAR Pinty’s Series car. However, Louis-Philippe Montour knows the track intimately, having raced there in the Sports Car Championship Canada series in 2021.

“I drove to the track for the first time during an official NASCAR Pinty’s Series practice session a few weeks ago. We took delivery of my brand new Camaro Dumoulin Competition to the track, where I I had the chance to be helped by Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.

The tests went very well. The car produces less downforce than what I’m used to and I had to adapt my driving accordingly. On the bright side, I have always done well at CTMP, winning several SCCC series there. It’s a track where I’m comfortable, so it looks good,” said Louis-Philippe Montour.

Louis-Philippe Montour is familiar with the high driving standards of the NASCAR Pinty’s series. “I got a taste of the series on the urban track at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières. My car was fast and easy to drive. wasn’t a racing me, I learned to be comfortable with lots of 30-35 cars on the track, a Trans AM is still a stock car like the Pinty’s and I have a lot of experience in this type of car.” according to Louis-Philippe Montour.
